This is a question that I see a lot on social media, and the most common answers are usually joke answers. I always see people saying if you watch it without stopping or sleeping, you could finish it in under a month. But what’s a realistic answer?
Watching all of One Piece is definitely a tough ask. This year, One Piece went seasonal, and today is the day that the final episode of the newest season aired. It marks 1,168 episodes over its nearly 30-year run. Very few TV shows in general even make it past 300 episodes, making 1,100 is just insane.
If you remove the opening and ending themes, you’re looking at more than 380 hours worth of content. That’s close to 200 movies. But how long would it actually take to watch all of it? Not everyone watched anime at the same page, so the answer is a bit tricky.
If you actually plan on catching up to the anime any time soon, you’ll want to watch at least a few episodes per week. If you’re the kind of person who’s kept busy by work, school, and other responsibilities, you don’t really have a shot. Watching one episode per week would take you more than 22 years.
If you find the time to watch one episode per day, things become more manageable. It would take you less than three and a half years to watch it all. But that’s still a very long time, and you have to be consistent every day.
If you can watch two episodes per day or can binge watch for five hours once a week, the time to complete is cut to two years or less. Better start watching.
