Four years ago, all the Kingdom Hearts games were ported to the Nintendo Switch. But there was just one small problem, Cloud versions were the only option. There was no physical edition, and your downloaded copy required a constant internet connection in order to be played. You could not play if you were on the go or had a poor connection. To make matters worse, the ports cost nearly $100.
Now Square Enix wants to make things right with the Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] for the Nintendo Switch 2. It’s still not a real physical release, but it’s significantly better than a Cloud version. The collection includes Kingdom Hearts -HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX-, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts 3 + Re Mind. The collection will be available for purchase digitally beginning October 8.
The collection will cost $74.99 but if you’ve previously bought the Cloud version, you’ll get 50% off this version. You can also buy each title individually for $39.99 each. The total storage requirement for the entire collection is a whopping 126.3 GB. You’ll also be able to purchase the collection physically via Game Key Card.
