How To Increase Fan Count Quickly In Umamusume: Pretty Derby

Umamusume: Pretty Derby Guides

If you’ve been playing Umamusume: Pretty Derby for a while, you’ve probably run into a situation where your trainee suddenly can’t enter a race because they don’t have enough fans. Maybe you put more emphasis on raising stats or resting and forgot to focus on fans. It can be frustrating when you’re cruising through a career run only to discover that you’re thousands of fans short of your next goal. Or maybe you just want as many fans as possible so you can get the most rewards at the end of a career.

The good news is that increasing your fan count is actually pretty straightforward once you understand how the system works. The fastest way to gain fans is by participating in races. Every race you win provides fans, and more important races generally provide significantly more than smaller events. You will gain fans for finishing in worse spots than first, but the fans you are awarded won’t be as high.

Now obviously you don’t want to enter so many races that your mood is affected or that your stats begin lacking. But if you find the right balance, you’ll be getting hundreds of thousands of fans every time you finish a career.

G1 races are especially important if your goal is to build up fans quickly. These races typically offer some of the largest fan rewards in the game and can dramatically boost your total. Throughout your career, there will be a ton of optional races to do instead of training. If there’s a G1 race and you know your trainee can win it, you have to go for it. The boost to your fan count will be way more significant than doing one turn of training.

But that doesn’t mean you should only race if you know you’ll win or if it’s a G1. Every race matters. The first-place finish in a G1 is super important, but if you get second or third you’ll still get fans. Plus you’ll get a decent amount of fans if you do easier races. In one career depending on the trainee that I use, I personally aim to do between 5 and 7 optional races when I’m aiming for more fans or skill points. Don’t just do the story races, you’ll regret it.
