Earlier this week, all versions of Lego 2K Drive have been delisted from their respective digital marketplaces. It’s no longer possible to buy a new digital copy of the game. If you’ve already bought a digital copy of the game, you’ll still be able download it freely. If you want to buy the game going forward, your only option will be to find a sealed Code In Box copy of the game at stores like Gamestop or to order one from PlayAsia.
But since it’s a code in a box, once someone uses the code, that’s it. That code is now gone forever and the number of copies left on the market drops, meaning prices for unredeemed codes can go up. Multiplayer access will continue to be available until 05/31/2027, and single player access will continue to be available after that. You can read a review of the game here.
This is the one instance that I support Game Key Cards. If the game were to be released as a Game Key Card, digital copies could freely be transferred from user to user, whereas the code is used once and then gone forever.
