PlayStation Is Shutting Down PS3 And PS Vita Stores

Earlier today, PlayStation dropped a bombshell by announcing they will no longer produce physical games starting in 2028. That announcement was so big that you probably didn’t notice them make a second, smaller one an hour later. After nearly twenty years, they’re finally shutting down the PS3 and PS Vita stores.

They tried to do this in the past, and failed. But they’re back at it again, and it’s sooner than you might think. The PS3 store will first begin closing in select Latin American and Middle Eastern countries later this year. Worldwide closures of both PS3 and PS Vita stores will commence next July.
